PAL Program
Driftwood Martial Arts now supports the "Personal Attendant for Leisure" card. For some people with disabilities, it is necessary to have someone's help in order to participate in leisure activities. A PAL Card allows persons with a disability to be accompanied by a personal attendant so that the may participate in designated City of Kitchener and City of Waterloo programs. The Pal Card allows that accompanying personal attendant to not be charged a fee for participating.

For more information on the PAL Card program, please contact the City of Kitchener or City of Waterloo.

Kicks for Camp - Fundraiser for Camp Oochigeas
Help Kids with Cancer Experience Summer Camp!
Saturday June 7th - 1:00 to 4:00pm

At Camp Oochigeas, it's all about being a kid.

The goal at Camp Oochigeas is to provide an active, outdoor experience where children can acquire new skills and meet new friends in a supportive and caring environment. Interspersed with the sounds of nature, you will hear the sounds of kids laughing as they develop confidence, courage and a sense of belonging. And that's the cornerstone of what being a kid is all about.

Camp Oochigeas is proud to be the only camping facility in Ontario that offers chemotherapy treatment onsite. This unique aspect allows children who are on treatment, as well as those who are not, to attend Camp Ooch.

What's Involved?
Students are asked to collect donations... then the real fun begins! At "Kicks for Camp", participants will perform their martial arts skills for 3 hours. Karate students young and old will perform kata and sparring. Our Cardio Kickboxing students will demonstrate their bag & pad drills and even our pre-school WeeKick kids will be there showing us their best.

Throughout the event, students and spectators alike will be able to purchase boards for breaking or to have broken by members of our student body and staff. ALL OF THE PROCEEDS GO TO CAMP OOCHIGEAS. See a member of our staff for your registration and donation sheet.

Visit www.ooch.org to learn about Oochigeas.
